Thursday, June 13, 2013 - Greensboro, NC

We are hoping it's GOOD fortune.

You want friendly? Evidently, don't go to Dixie. We think this is not right.

We went to Durham and met some NYC transplants for lunch. Hi Jon! Hi Lisa!

And then we were back in the car. Ugh.

Seems like there's a front coming in.

In 10 minutes, the temperature dropped a bit.

We made it to Greensboro, NC! And the rain had almost stopped! We were here to see the Greensboro Grasshoppers (A for the Marlins) play the West Virginia Power (A for the Pirates).

High five! Er, four. Todd and the statue of Guilford (the mascot).

The statue of Guilford and his canine companions Yogi and Babe.

A Greensboro native

Big baseballs outside the ballpark

Everyone is hoppin' fun!

Taking the tarp OFF the field!

Stephanie was confused. Isn't it spelled "Dawg?"

Uh-oh

Remember when the temperature was 104 just about 2 hours ago? It has cooled down a bit.

Grand Rental Station??

Outfield

It rained SO hard earlier. Why is he watering the field? WHY?

The putting green beyond the left field fence

Blow-drying the chairs and tables

Hmm

The "real" Guilford

The man-on-the-street, 24-7 Spaz.

Local t-ball team

Greensboro has had professional baseball since 1902.

Todd's childhood Yankees came through Greensboro.

Some current Yankees came through Greensboro too.

A whole big line of Air Force recruits

The Air Force recruits' swearing-in ceremony. We wish them a safe return.

O. Henry is from Greensboro.

Mmm. Meat.

Hello Stetson

Super Vendor!

It totally looks like these kids are running on the railing! We are pretty sure it's an optical illusion.

Stetson! You look different!

Thrice Bryce

Today's attendance

Stephanie and 24-7 Spaz.

This was as close as we could get to the final score. The hometown Grasshoppers took this one.

Stephanie's in the DAWG house for missing the photo of the final score.

We were by the bat fence! Woo!

Going down the road, we ran into Virginia!
